Welcome to the New Online Training Site.
UCLA has replaced the Protection of Human Research Subjects Online Training Program and the HIPAA Clinical Research Training Course with the nationally recognized Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI).
As of September 1, 2009, all Key Personnel * must complete the online CITI Training Program for Human Research Protection prior to approval of a new or continuing review application. The prior UCLA training certification is no longer valid.
UCLA investigators and research staff whose research is covered by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) are required to also complete the HIPAA Clinical Research Training Course. Certification does not expire.
For investigators and research staff whose research is covered by HIPAA and who have not previously completed HIPAA training for researchers, follow the link to http://www.citiprogram.org to register and complete the training. You will be able to view and print a completion report at the conclusion of the course.
Certificates for previously completed UCLA online training can still be accessed and printed by following the link below.
